I am a member of the Biostatistics Shared
Resource at the Hollings Cancer Center at the Medical University of South
Carolina. As a shared resource member, I collaborate with cancer center
investigators, assisting with grant submissions, data analysis, and
manuscript preparation. Additionally, I participate in the educational
mission of the cancer center by participating in lectures on statistical
issues in clinical research for hematology/oncology fellows and residents. My
research interests stem from my collaborative interactions and are broadly
based in applications in oncology and oral health. I have specific expertise
in statistical methods in biomarker discovery and spatial statistics, with an
emphasis on proteomics. A recent focus is the development of statistical
methods for biomarker discovery with highly censored data. In addition to
these applied and methodologic interests, I maintain a strong interest in
issues pertaining to statistical education. |
