Johannes Kreienschmidt

Johannes Kreienschmidt was born about 1690 in Eggerode, Münster (Germany).

Johannes married Anna Eggenrodde about 1708 in Eggerode, Münster (Germany). Anna was born about 1690.

They had the following children:

  1. Johannes Henricus Eckenroth Johannes Eckroth was born about 1709 in Eggerode, Münster. Roman Catholic. With his step-brother, Henrich, Johannes "Ickroth" arrived in Philadelphia on the 5th of September, 1743, on the Snow Charlotta, John Mason, Master, from Rotterdam, last from Cowes, and took the oath of allegiance to the government at the courthouse in Philadelphia.  He married Anna Margaret Bennick and they settled in Lynn Township, Bucks County (now Lehigh County), at the foothills of the Blue Mountain.  They had 8 children.  Johannes was killed in an Indian attack while working his fields in May 1757.
  2. Anna Catharina Kreienschmidt was born in 1710 in Eggerode, Münster (Germany). She was baptised on 14 May 1710 at the Katholisch Church, Eggerode, Münster (Germany).

After Anna's death (about 1715) Johannes married Anna Clara Margaretha Wenninck on 27 Nov 1715 in Eggerode, Münster (Germany). Anna was born about 1690.

They had the following children:

  1. Joannes Theodorus Kreienschmidt was born in 1716 in Eggerode, Münster (Germany). He was baptised on 28 Nov 1716 at the Katholisch Church, Eggerode, Münster (Germany).
  2. Lubertus Hermannus Kreienschmidt was born in 1718 in Eggerode, Münster (Germany). He was baptised on 11 Feb 1718 at the Katholisch Church, Eggerode, Münster (Germany).
  3. Anna Ida Elisabetha Kreienschmidt was born in 1719 in Eggerode, Münster (Germany). She was baptised on 14 Apr 1719 at the Katholisch Church, Eggerode, Münster (Germany).
  4. Johannes Henricus Eckenroth was born in March 1721 in Eggerode, Münster. He was baptised on 18 March 1721 at the Katholisch Church, Eggerode, Münster. With his step-brother, Johannes, on 5 Sep 1743 Henrich Eckenroth arrived on the Snow Charlotta, John Mason, Master, from Rotterdam, last from Cowes, and took the oath of allegiance to the government at the courthouse in Philadelphia.  He married Susanna Steissen on 26 Feb 1748/1749 in Trinity Lutheran Ch., Lancaster Co., PA.  He died before 24 Feb 1806 in Mt. Joy Twp., Lancaster Co., PA.
  5. Johann Wilhelm Eckroth was born in Dec 1722 in Eggerode, Münster (Germany). He was baptised on 22 Dec 1722 at the Katholisch Church, Eggerode, Münster (Germany).  Baptismal name: Johannes Wilhelmus Kreinschmit.
    Arrived in Philadelphia, 19 September 1743 aboard the Lydia from Rotterdam, last from Cowes. Capt. James Abercrombie.
    Willhelm Elzeroot, Age 18, Signed as: Johann Wilhelm Eckroth, Oath of allegience: Johann Wilhelm Eckroth.
  6. Anna Gertrudis Kreienschmidt was born on 27 May 1726 in Eggerode, Münster (Germany). She was baptised on 30 May 1726 at the Katholisch Church, Eggerode, Münster (Germany).
