Clarinda Howell

Clarinda Howell, daughter of Charles and Keziah (Pierson) Howell, was born on 15 June 1811 in Berkshire Valley, Jefferson Township, Morris County, New Jersey. Clarinda married Charles Millburn on 15 May 1828 in Jefferson Township, Morris County, New Jersey. Charles was born on 31 August 1803 in New Jersey.

They had the following children, all births were recorded in a family bible:

  1. Samuel Pierson Millburn was born on 25 February 1828 in NJ. Samuel served in the Civil War.

  2. Sarah E. Millburn was born on 6 December 1830 in NJ. She died on 1 Feb 1855.

  3. Charles Millburn Jr. was born on 14 September 1832 in NJ.

  4. John Wesley Millburn was born on 26 August 1834 in NJ. John served in the Civil War: Co. G, 31st Reg., NJ Volunteers.  He died 17 September 1914 in NJ.

  5. David Spencer Millburn was born on 22 August 1836 in NJ. He died on 2 Oct 1862. David served in the Civil War.

  6. Phebe Ann Millburn was born on 24 December 1838 in NJ. Phebe married Abraham A. Morgan on 25 December 1860 in 1st Presby Ch, Dover, Morris Co., NJ. Abraham was born in 1838. Married by Rev. B.C. Megie. His notes state she lived in Woodport and her father (Charles) was deceased.

  7. Mary Emma Millburn was born on 17 February 1841 in NJ.

  8. Joseph B. Millburn was born on 5 May 1843 in NJ. Joseph married Landin Sophy Elsworth. Landin was born on 16 Oct 1848 in NJ. Joseph served in the Civil War.

  9. Clarinda Millburn was born on 5 October 1845 in NJ. She died on 25 January 1864. She was buried in Berkshire Valley, Presbyterian Cem, Morris Co., NJ.

  10. Lousanna Millburn was born on 5 June 1847 in NJ. He died on 6 Aug 1847.

  11. George W. Millburn was born on 5 March 1849 in NJ.

  12. Ceila Etta Millburn was born on 17 March 1850 in NJ.

  13. Parmealice (Amelia - "Meal") Diane Millburn was born on 6 May 1853 in Jefferson Twp., Morris Co., NJ.

Charles died on 11 October 1855 and was buried in Berkshire Valley Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Morris County, New Jersey. Clarinda died of Carcinoma of the Stomach on 25 September 1881 in Ironia, Randolf Township, Morris County, New Jersey. She was buried in Berkshire Valley Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Morris County, New Jersey.
