Heinrich Gÿsi 
 From Pfalz

Heinrich Gÿsi, son of Adam, was born in 1679 in Hölstein, Waldenburg District, Kanton Basel, Switzerland.  He emigrated to Hassloch, Pflaz with his father in the late 1600s (Map).  Swine Herder.  Heinrich died in Hassloch, Pfaltz sometime after 1723.
Heinrich married Maria Magdalena Burchardt, daughter of Heinrich Burchardt, on 11 November 1704 in Hassloch, Pfalz. Maria was born 1679 in Pfalz and was baptised 29 January 1679 in Marnheim, Pfalz, Germany.  

They had the following children:

  1. Anna Barbara Gÿsi was born 1705 in Hassloch, Pfalz and was baptised 22 November 1705 in Evangelisch Church, Hassloch, Pfalz.

  2. Johann Jacob Gÿsi was born 3 June 1707 in Hassloch, Pfalz and was baptised 7 July 1707 in Reformed Church, Hassloch, Pfalz, and confirmed at the Reformed Church in Hassloch in 1721.  Johann married (1) Anna Maria Erhard, daughter of Hans Peter Erhard and Maria Magdalena, on 10 February 1728 in Iggelheim Reformed Church, Iggelheim, Pfalz.  Anna was born about 1710. They had 8 children, two of whom died at an early age in Hassloch.  Anna Maria died 10 April 1728 in Iggelheim, Pfalz.  Johann also married (2) Anna Barbara Biber, daughter of Jacob Biber and Maria Catharine, on 28 Jun 1728 in Hassloch, Pfalz. Anna was born 20 August 1702 in Hassloch, Pfalz. They had a daughter who died at the age of 1 year in Hassloch.  Johann and Anna Barbara came to America in 1736 on the ship Princess Augusta arriving 16 September.  
    Anna Barbara died 1743 in Elizabeth Twp., Lancaster Co., PA.  Johann died 1749 in Elizabeth Twp., Lancaster Co., PA.  
    Lancaster Co. Orphan's Court record: 7 December 1757. Guardians appointed for the following children of Jacob Geesy, deceased: eldest son, Philip, John, Henry, Maria Elizabeth wife of Ulrich Seiler.

  3. Anna Helena Gÿsi was born 1710 in Hassloch, Pfalz and was baptised 13 April 1710 in Reformed Church, Hassloch, Pfalz. She died 23 May 1717 in Hassloch, Pfalz.

  4. Susanna Gÿsi was born 1 January 1713 in Hassloch, Pfalz and was baptised 8 January 1713 in the Reformed Church, Hassloch, Pfalz. She died 14 Sep 1718 in Hassloch, Pfalz.

  5. Anna Catherina Gÿsi was born 9 February 1716 in Hassloch, Pfalz and was baptised 12 Feruaryb 1716 in the Reformed Church, Hassloch, Pfalz. She died 18 May 1717 in Hassloch, Pfalz.

  6. Johann Conradt Giese Sr. was born 27 March 1718 in Hassloch, Pfalz and was baptised 30 March 1718 in the Reformed Church, Hassloch, Pfalz. He died 5 February 1802 in York Twp., York Co., PA.

  7. Johannes Gÿsi was born 1723 in Hassloch, Pfalz and was baptised 9 May 1723 in the Reformed Church, Hassloch, Pfalz. He died 28 January 1725 in Hassloch, Pfalz.
