John Harold Frischknecht

John Harold Frischknecht, son of Jacob and Margaret Frischknecht, was born on 8 April 1874 in Sayreville Township, Middlesex County, NJ. Railroad Worker. John married Doraetta Milburn, daughter of Joseph B. and Landin Sophy (Elsworth) Milburn, in 1896. Doraetta was born on 4 Oct 1877 in Dover, Morris County, New Jersey.

John and Doraetta had the following children:

  1. Gertrude Melissa Frischknecht was born on 18 April 1898. Gertrude married Lipman. She died 3 October 1975.

  2. Leon Harold Frischknecht was born on 7 August 1900 in South Amboy, Middlesex County, New Jersey. Leon married (1) Marietta A. about 1930. The marriage ended in divorce. Marietta was born about 1900. She died before 2000. Leon married (2) Caroline Maass, daughter of Max William Maass Sr. and Margarete Hartmann, on 13 October 1934 at Northfield Baptist Church, Livingston, New Jersey. Caroline was born on 1 March 1907 in Fairfield, Essex County, New Jersey. Leon died on 28 September 1979 in Boynton Beach, Florida. He was buried on 2 October 1979 in Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover, Morris County, New Jersey. Caroline died on 21 June 1998 in Lake Worth, Florida. She was buried on 26 June 1998 in Restland Memorial Park.

  3. Charles Everett Frischknecht was born on 26 September 1903. He died of tuberculosis on 12 June 1922.

  4. Arthur John Frischknecht was born on 10 October 1906. Lived in East Orange, New Jersey. He married Ann and they had 10 children.  Arthur died March 1987 in Wayne, Passaic Co., NJ and Ann died 22 August 1995 in Savannah, Georgia.

  5. Dorothy May Frischknecht was born on 17 January 1909. Dorothy married (1) William Primka.  They had 7 children.  Dorothy married (2) William Kern. Dorothy died 1 April 2002 in South River, Middlesex County, NJ.

  6. Arnold Joseph Frisch was born 15 January 1912. He lived in Orange, Essex County, New Jersey. Arnold married Elsie Pfister.  He died 29 February 1976 in Caldwell, Essex Co., NJ.

  7. John Clifford Frischknecht was born on 13 October 1915. He married Anna Smith and they had 2 children before their divorce.  John married Dot and they also had 2 children.   John died 29 April 1993 in Olivebridge, Ulster Co., NY.

John died on 5 May 1956. Doraetta died on 24 March 1969 in Keyport, Monmouth County, New Jersey.
