Edwin Felty Geesey, son of Edwin Daniel, was born 10 Jul 1869 in Woodsboro, Frederick Co., MD. Laborer and Basketmaker. Edwin married Cora Mandella Shank about 1897. Cora was born 30 August 1872. She died 10 March 1903 and was buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, Woodsboro, Frederick Co., MD. Edwin and Cora had the following children:

| Edwin married Florence Elsie Smith, daughter of John Luther Smith and Anna Victoria Ledwidge, on 28 November 1906 by Pastor H.M. Stamits at the Augsburg Lutheran Church in Harrisburg, Dauphin Co., PA. Florence was born 21 August 1875 in Woodsboro, Frederick Co., MD. They moved from Woodsboro after 1906 to Baltimore, back to Woodsboro before 1910, to York Co., PA before 1920, and finally back to Woodsboro about 1932. Edwin and Florence had the following children:

Edwin Felty learned the trade of basket making from his father. The photo at left shows Edwin Felty (right) with his brother, George (left), and his father, Edwin Daniel (center) making baskets at their home in Woodsboro in the mid 1890s. Edwin Felty was a basketmaker on his own in Woodsboro during the period from 1932 to 1948. Below is a copy of his business card.

Florence died 14 March 1948 in Woodsboro, and was buried 17 March 1948 in Mount Hope Cemetery. After the death of Florence Edwin Felty went to live with his son, Alton, in Hagerstown, then moved back to Woodsboro, making baskets again, and finally back to Hagerstown.
Edwin Felty died 24 May 1960 at the Franklin Street Nursing Home in Hagerstown, Washington Co., MD and was buried 27 May 1960 in Mount Hope Cemetery, Woodsboro, Frederick Co., MD beside his two wives and his two children who died in childhood, Alice May and Myron Edwin.
