Jacob Bringman, son of John Bringman, was born on 16 January 1794 in Dubs Nill, York County, PA. He was baptised on 13 February 1794 at Christ Church, Littlestown, York County, PA. Baptismal witnesses parents. He was confirmed at St. Matthew's Church on Pentecost in 1812 at the age of 18. Jacob married Mary Rentzel. She was born about 1781 in PA. Jacob was a prosperous man and acquired considerable land in Jackson and Paradise Townships. He built the stone house now standing on the Yohe & Son orchards in Jackson Township, Pidgeon Hills.

Mary died after 3 August 1870 in PA. Jacob died on 4 October 1873 in Jackson Twp., York County, PA. His obituary was in the Hanover Citizen newspaper dated October 9, 1873.
