Frederick Brinkmann
Frederick Brinkmann was born about 1725 in Europe
(possibly in Switzerland). Frederick married Catharina Heilmann
in 1750 in Holland. Catharina was born on 2 June 1730 in Wachtersbach, Wetterau.
They arrived in Philadelphia on the Ship Edinburgh on 13 August 1750
and took up residence in York Borough.
Frederick and Catharina had the following children:
- Elisabeth Brinkmann was born in 1751 in York
County, PA. She was baptised on 24 February 1751 in York County, PA.

- Johann Killian Brinkmann was born in March
1753 in York County, PA. He was baptised on 8 April 1753 in York County, PA.
Baptismal recorded in the register of Jacob Lischy. He died on 28 May
1757 in York, York County, PA. He was buried on 30 May 1757 in Moravian Church,
York, York County, PA. York Moravian Church records: May 28, 1757. 8 pm died
Killian Brinckmann son of Frederick and Catharina, age 4 years 2 months. Buried
on Whitmonday, May 30.
- Frederick Brinkmann was born on 12 October

- Henry Brinkmann was born on 21 July 1762

York, York County, PA. Baptismal sponsors: Lewis Prozmann, Bernard Hoeneisen,
and BusChurch.
- John Bringman
was born on 31 March 1765 in York County, PA. He was
baptised on 15 April 1765 at the Moravian Church, York, York County, PA. Baptismal
sponsors: John Heckedorn and Christopher Haller. John married Christina about
1785. Christina was born about 1765. They had five children.
Catharina died after 1800 and John died after 1802.
- Christina Brinkmann was born on 1 January
1768 in York County, PA. She was baptised on 10 January 1768 at the Moravian
Church, York, York County, PA. Baptismal sponsors: Mr. and Mrs. Weller, Martin
Ebert and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Beroth, Mr. and Mrs. Lanius. She
died on 6 January 1770 in York, York County, PA.
- George Brinkmann was born on 1 January 1768
in York County, PA. He was baptised on 10 January 1768 at the Moravian Church,
York, York County, PA. Baptismal sponsors: Mr. and Mrs. Weller, Martin Ebert
and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Beroth, Mr. and Mrs. Lanius.
- Jacob Brinkmann was born on 6 April 1771

Will lists wife Catharine and children - only John is named and the others are
not recorded.
Catharina died on 10 March 1795 in York, York County, PA. York
Moravian Church records:
March 10, 1795. Died the widow Catharina Brinkmann, (nee Heilmann), born June
2, 1730 near Wachtersbach in the Wetterau. In 1750, on her way to America, she
married in Holland Frederick Brinkmann, and they came to this neighbourhood
later into the town. They had 9 sons and 2 daughters of whom 6 sons survive,
and 12 grandchildren. She became a widow Sept. 23, 1788.
