Gottlieb Briegner

Gottlieb Briegner was born in 1720/1724 in Menzingen(stadt), Baden. He died on 14 May 1781 in Paradise Twp., York Co., PA. Gottlieb married Maria Elisabetha on 21 October 1748 in Paradise Twp., York Co., PA. Maria was born about 1730 in Baden. She died after 1781 in Paradise Twp., York Co., PA. William A. Brobst, Curator, Breighner Family Historical Registry (Brobst-Hager@mindspring.com), has written extensively about Gottleib Briegner and his family. I have copied his notes for Gottleib and Maria Elisabetha.

Gottlieb and Maria had the following children:

  1. Johannes Briegner was born about 1749 in Paradise Twp., York Co., PA. He died on 13 July 1825 in East Berlin, Adams Co., PA. He was buried in St. Mary's, Abbotstown, York Co., PA.

  2. Barbara Briegner was born about 1750 in Paradise Twp., York Co., PA. She died on 10 August 1787 in Berwick Twp., Adams Co., PA.

  3. Peter Breighner Sr. was born about 1750. He died on 2 January 1805. More notes about Peter.

  4. Caleb Briegner was born about 1751 in Paradise Twp., York Co., PA. Caleb was the executor of the will of Diedrich Felty in Berwick Twp, written May 20, 1816, and also co-executor (with Peter's wife Elizabeth) of the estate of his brother Peter Briegner (Brichner). Caleb died after 1816. More notes about Caleb.

  5. Christophel Briegner was born about 1752 in Paradise Twp., York Co., PA. Lived in Pennsylvania in 1800, per census. He died after 1800.

  6. Catharina Briegner was born about 1753 in Paradise Twp., York Co., PA. She married Andrew Young. She died on 18 June 1833 in Berwick Twp., Adams Co., PA. She was buried in Conewago Chapel, Edge Grove, Adams Co., PA.

  7. Gottlieb Briegner Jr. was born on 3 March 1762 in Paradise Twp., York Co., PA. He died on 1 April 1846 in Emmitsburg, Frederick Co., MD. He was buried on 3 April 1846 in Mt. St. Mary's Ch, Emmitsburg, Frederick Co., MD. More notes about Gottlieb, Jr..

  8. Jacob Briegner was born before 1765 in Paradise Twp., York Co., PA. He died in Aug 1789 in Conewago Twp., York Co., PA. He was buried in Conewago Chapel, Edge Grove, Adams Co., PA.
