Learn with us.

Research in the Hamlett Lab aims to unlock the earliest molecular mechanisms that lead to neurodegenerative diseases. We combine various techniques such as proteomics, imaging, biochemistry, pharmacology, designer receptors, and even behavioral analysis to understand potential trigger mechanisms. We study Human brain, rodent models and cell culture models of Alzheimer's disease.

A focus on training.

The Hamlett lab is goal oriented. Members of our lab build and maintain an independent training plan and actively engage in plan activities. Undergraduates maintain strong academic performance while learning with us. Your experience will first emphasize lab logistics (calculation, notebook ettiquete, lab technique) with more advanced training opportunites provided toward your research plan. Lab members also participate in journal club and presentations to enhance communication skill and knowledge.
