Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS)

States with state-added oral health questions in each year

States can add oral health questions as state-added questions.  State-added oral health questions are asked in addition to the core oral health questions, in years that oral health is on the core. In other years, state-added oral health questions may be asked in addition to, or instead of, the optional oral health module questions. 

BRFSS maintains a list of which states used state-added questions by topic area, but does not maintain a library of the questions.  For information about state-added oral health questions, contact the state dental director or the state BRFSS coordinator.
