I created this internet site to facilitate the committee's access to the diverse internet pages that I have developed in the last two years to support my teaching and research. Some of these sites are embedded in WebCT and protected by passwords. In this case, the computer will prompt the visitor to enter a username and a password. The committee members can e-mail me at bacrotr@musc.edu to obtain an account and a password or use "guest" as a username and "test" as a password. In that case, only one member at a time can access the site. The committee can find below a direct link to the sites that I would like to emphasize:
- The Human Anatomy Homepage as seen by the students during the summer of 1999. This site introduces the students to the Human Anatomy course, including computer requirements. It then leads the students to the Human Anatomy Online which is loaded on the library Edweb. Finally, the students can go to the Human Anatomy WebCT homepage from this location (Bulletin board, chatlines, grades online, all embryology, surface anatomy and gross anatomy lectures). To use the Surface Anatomy CD in conjunction with the WebCT site, the visitor must have installed Realplayer G2 software on their computer (click here for a free download) , put the CD in their CD ROM and click on the surface anatomy icon on the main homepage. The visitor will then have to access one of the surface anatomy lecture. After entering one of these lectures, the visitor can click on "video clip on CD" for any given anatomical structure to visualize a short video describing the structure. Please contact me by e-mail at bacrotr@musc.edu if you encounter any problem.
- To enter the Class of 2000 Rehabilitation Sciences please click on the link (on the left), scroll down to Class of 2000 Rehabilitation Sciences and click on it. Enter your "guest" username and your "test" password. You will then be able to access directly the following sites:
1. Manuscript to be published: "The Iontophoresis Treatment of Basal Cell Carcinoma with Cisplatin: a Case Report". On this protected site, under the publication icon, an abstract of the research and colored pictures were posted to facilitate my interaction with Empi Inc. ($ 3000 grant for the support of a graduate assistant in 1999)
2. Fibromyalgia and Iontophoresis lectures: under this icon, the students can review online the slides used for these two lectures and matching their handouts (provided under Sample of Course Handouts in the portfolio)
Additional sites to visit are the following:
- Published manuscript: Integration of an Internet Anatomy Review... This site was opened to the public at the time of the publication to provide online visual aids of the cadaver prosections.
Thanks for visiting my sites.
