Fascia of the Chest

Enclosing the pectoralis minor and subclavius is an investing layer of the deep fascia, which in turn, blends with the axillary fascia. The fascia is called clavipectoral fascia, and is pierced by several structures (Netter: 403).
The components of the clavipectoral fascia are:
1. Costocoracoid ligament, which is a thickening of the clavipectoral fascia joining the coracoid process to the first rib;
2. Costocoracoid membrane, which closes the interval between the subclavius and pectoralis minor, and forms the suspensory ligament of the axilla.
