Pleurae
		2 layers: • parietal pleura: lining thoracic wall, covering thoracic surface of mediastinum,  and extending into root of lung • visceral pleura: completely covering outer surfaces of lung and extending into interlobar fissures • 2 layers become continuous at hilum of lung, forming pleural cuff of connecting pleura • Pulmonary ligament: loose fold hanging below cuff; allows for movement of pulmonary vessels and bronchi during respiration
